Corporate Art Concepts
Inspired by Lakers Culture

Big ideas, big impact.

Dear Lakers Partnerships & Brand Team,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of German artist Nico Hensel together with Studio Kasa, a curatorial and creative platform focused on contemporary culture, design and spatial concepts. Over the past months, Nico has developed an ongoing body of mixed-media works exploring the visual identity, emotional atmosphere and cultural memory surrounding iconic sports organizations — particularly the Los Angeles Lakers.

The enclosed works are not intended as traditional fan art. Instead, they investigate how color systems, urban textures, print processes and collective sports memory can be transformed into contemporary corporate art for architectural and hospitality environments.

The series combines abstraction, layered print aesthetics and fragments of sports culture into artworks that could naturally live within executive spaces, VIP lounges, hospitality areas, tunnels, offices or brand environments connected to the Lakers organization.

What fascinated us most is that many of the works already evoke the atmosphere of the Lakers without relying directly on logos or conventional sports imagery.

We would be delighted to introduce the series and explore potential conversations around site-specific corporate art concepts inspired by Lakers culture and identity.

Corporate Art Concepts Inspired by Lakers Culture

STICKER SERIES

Fan stickers embroidered on yellow photo cardstock, digitized, color-corrected, printed on Fuji Crystal photo paper, mounted behind high-gloss or matte acrylic glass, with a 2-inch-thick white aluminum frame. Designed as a collector’s edition with a new motif each year, limited to 50 pieces per year.

Corporate Art is not limited to artworks for walls. It can become part of an organization’s culture, identity and memory.

Possible applications:

• Artworks for executive offices, meeting rooms and hospitality environments
• Series for VIP lounges, player tunnels, training facilities and brand spaces
• Curated editions for sponsors and partnership programs
• Special objects honoring long-term employees and team members
• Recognition pieces for anniversaries and exceptional achievements
• Art instead of traditional medals, trophies or standard awards
• Limited objects created for milestone games, playoffs or special events
• Commemorative works for historic matchups and iconic seasons
• Exclusive pieces for visiting organizations, ownership groups and executives
• Numbered and signed works as official cultural gifts

The BLOCKS series introduces an additional dimension. The artworks themselves can be created from authentic media connected to the organization:

• Game posters
• Tickets
• Season materials
• Magazines
• Press imagery
• Fan culture artifacts
• Print campaigns
• Historic documents
• Visual fragments from a season

Rather than producing merchandise, moments become artifacts.

A playoff series becomes an object.
A season becomes a memory.
A cultural moment becomes art.

Cardboard Series
Purple. Gold. Legacy.

This artwork translates the visual DNA of the Los Angeles Lakers into an abstract physical form. The iconic colors are not used illustratively — they are transformed. Rolled layers of acrylic on cardboard create movement, rhythm and density. Almost like traces of a game itself: speed, friction, energy and momentum.

The visible materiality of the cardboard intentionally remains untouched. A reminder that greatness rarely begins in perfection. From simple foundations emerge identities, stories and legacies.

The small yellow element acts like a signal within the composition — a focal point, much like a single moment that can change the course of a game: a pass, a shot, a decision.

This piece is not a representation of the Lakers. It is an interpretation of what the organization has stood for for decades: presence, character and a culture that extends far beyond sports.

Sports Edition - Motion Series

Sorgfältig gestaltet, um das Wichtigste ins rechte Licht zu rücken.

"Not a ball. A movement."

In this series, Nico Hensel transforms the visual DNA into abstract landscapes filled with motion, energy, and atmosphere. The circular elements appear as balls captured in different states — frozen somewhere between flight path, spin, acceleration, and impact. Some remain sharp and defined, while others dissolve, overlap, and leave traces of movement behind.

Through layers of transparency and spatial depth, the works create an almost three-dimensional effect — as if basketballs, or fragments of a game are moving through space at high speed. The shifting layers simulate motion, velocity, and the fraction of a second between control and chaos.

At the same time, each work translates the unique identity and color language of a club into an emotional visual environment. Team colors become atmosphere. Movement becomes rhythm. Sport becomes memory.

These are not traditional fan artworks. They are abstract interpretations of energy, team spirit, and the visual culture surrounding a club.

Designed for executive spaces, business lounges, stadium suites, and contemporary interiors, the works become a new form of Corporate Art — connecting sport, identity, and space.

INFINITY – Lakers Edition

INFINITY – Lakers Edition

In INFINITY, flowing bands of color become a symbol of endless movement, ambition and connection. Translated into the iconic purple and gold of Los Angeles, the work reflects energy, rhythm and legacy — a visual echo of a team whose history is built on motion, excellence and unforgettable moments.

The interwoven loops suggest speed, teamwork and continuity: every line crosses another, every path becomes part of something larger. INFINITY turns the Lakers’ colors into a dynamic field of power, pride and momentum.
